Route 24 is a divided highway from Randolph down to Fall River and beyond, and MassDOT brines and salts it through every storm. A daily run on it leaves a film of brine across the lower panels, wheels and rear of the car.
Commercial and industrial roads
The commercial and industrial areas sit along Route 24 and Routes 138, 139 and 27, mixed in with houses because of the town’s industrial past. Truck traffic leaves road film, tar and grit on everything behind it.
The commuter rail lot
The Stoughton line runs to South Station, and a car left at the station all day sits in the open, taking sun, pollen and droppings until evening.
Pollen and leaves
