The Avon Industrial Park covers about 500 acres near Route 24, with distribution operations among its tenants. Trucks and delivery vans kick up road grime and iron particles that settle on paint and feel rough under your hand.
Route 24 in winter
Route 24 runs past the industrial park on its way north to I-93, and MassDOT pre-treats it with brine and salts it through every storm. That film dries onto lower panels, wheels and the back of the car.
D.W. Field Park edge
Brockton Reservoir, part of the wooded D.W. Field Park, lies in Avon. Streets on that side of town get more pollen, leaf fall and sap from trees.
Pollen season
Late May into June, pine pollen coats every parked car in New England, and it bakes on if left in the sun.

What fits a car in Avon
