Randolph is where Route 24 ends at I-93, with US 1, Route 28 and Route 139 through town as well. For a car that lives here, highway miles and interchange traffic are most of what it has to survive.

I have coated and detailed cars for 15 years and more than 1,200 vehicles. I am based in Wareham, so Randolph is one of the farther towns I serve, and I will be straight about booking further down the page.

What the local conditions do to a car

I-93 and Route 24 in winter
Route 24 runs north from Fall River and ends at a split junction with I-93 in Randolph. Both are pre-treated with brine and salted through every storm, and a winter commute on them leaves a film on lower panels, wheels and the back of the car.
Stop-and-go traffic
Queues on the approach to I-93 mean brake dust on the wheels and road spray kicked up from the car in front. Both build up faster than on open highway.
The Blue Hills edge
Part of the Blue Hills Reservation, a 7,000-acre state park, lies in Randolph. Wooded streets on that side of town mean pollen in late spring, leaf fall in autumn and sap from parking under trees.
Rivers and low ground
The town is drained by the Cochato and Blue Hill rivers, which flow on to the Neponset. Streets near them see more morning damp, and damp is what makes pollen and dirt stick.
What I’d recommend

What fits a car in Randolph

Ceramic coating (Express, Essential, Enhanced). For a car that commutes on I-93 and Route 24, a coating keeps salt film and road grime on top of a slick layer instead of the clear coat. A full day of work in one driveway is also the job that makes the most sense of the drive up from Wareham.

Wheel Face Coating (coating add-on). Stop-and-go driving coats wheels in brake dust. Coated faces rinse clean instead of needing a scrub.

Ceramic Windshield Coating. Rain and slush bead and clear off the glass at highway speed, which helps on a dark winter commute.

Interior Detail. A car that spends hours a week in traffic gets lived in: coffee, crumbs and salt on the mats. An Interior Detail resets it.

How booking works in Randolph

Randolph is about 32 miles from Wareham, well inside the 40-mile radius my booking system works to. The assistant confirms your exact address when you book.

I’m mobile: I come to you and the work happens in your driveway. I arrive at one of three times: 9:00 in the morning, 12:30, or 3:00 in the afternoon. A coating takes most of the day, so it gets the morning arrival; a detail can take any time it fits.

Randolph is at the northern edge of where I work, so the booking assistant checks your exact address and offers only the arrival times that genuinely work for it. If it shows no times for your date, call or text and I will tell you straight away what I can do.

At this distance a coating, which is a full day in one driveway, is the job that fits the day best.

Rain on the day
A coating needs a dry day to cure. If rain is forecast I’ll call or text and we pick a new day at no charge; for detailing, light drizzle is usually fine.

Randolph FAQ

Randolph is on my service roster. Because it is one of the farther towns I serve, online booking may not show open times for every date. If it does not, call or text and I will tell you whether your day works.
It helps the paint and the wheels: brine film rinses off a coated surface instead of clinging to it. It does not protect the underside of the car, which still needs regular rinsing in winter.
Brake dust, and stop-and-go traffic makes more of it. It bakes on with heat. A wheel face coating gives it a slick surface, so it rinses off instead of etching into the finish.
In your driveway. I am fully mobile; there is no shop to bring the car to.
