Norfolk, once North Wrentham, sits in the upper valley of the Charles River. Route 115 winds through dense woods past Stony Brook Pond and the Bristol Blake State Reservation, Route 1A crosses town, and Highland Lake, Mirror Lake on the Wrentham line and a scatter of old mill ponds mean water is never far away.

Much of Norfolk is woods, and plenty of driveways sit under trees. Oak pollen comes in April and May, pine pollen into June, and wet leaves in the fall. All of it bakes onto paint if it is left.
Lakes, ponds and the Charles
Highland Lake, Stony Brook Pond, Mirror Lake and the Charles River keep parts of town damp. Cars parked near water stay wet longer after rain and in the morning.
Route 1A and Route 115
The two state routes carry most of the town’s traffic, and MassDOT brines state roads before storms. The film dries onto lower panels and wheels and stays all winter.
Norfolk station
The commuter rail station in the town centre means plenty of cars parked in the open all day, taking pollen and droppings until evening.

What fits a car in Norfolk

Ceramic coating (Express, Essential, Enhanced). A coating suits a car that lives under trees. Pollen, sap and leaf stains sit on a slick surface instead of the clear coat, and a rinse takes most of them off.

Enhanced Ceramic Coating (7-year, two-stage correction first). If sap or leaf tannins have already marked the clear coat, the two-stage correction in the Enhanced coating takes them out before the coating goes on.

All-Glass Ceramic Coating (coating add-on). Pollen and tree film smear across untreated glass in the rain. Coated windows shed it.
