Ceramic coating and detailing in Hanson

Hanson is one of the inland towns of the South Shore: ponds, swamp and woodland. I come to your driveway, from South Hanson to Monponsett.

Hanson sits between Route 3 and Route 24 without a highway of its own, and a lot of it is water and woods: Oldham Pond on the Pembroke line, Maquan and Wampatuck Ponds near the centre, the Monponsett ponds along the Halifax border and the Little Cedar Swamp to the north. It is still cranberry country too; the original Ocean Spray facility stood in South Hanson. Cars here are not fighting sea air. They are fighting trees and winter roads.

I have coated and detailed cars for 15 years and more than 1,200 vehicles. There is no shop to drive to. I do the work in your driveway, and the car never leaves home.

What the local conditions do to a car

Routes 14, 58 and 27 in winter
With no freeway in town, Hanson’s through traffic runs on Routes 14, 58 and 27, including the stretch in the middle of town where 14 and 58 share the road. A winter of brine and salt off them dries into a grey film on lower doors, rocker panels and wheels.
Pine pollen and sap
Late May into June, pine pollen coats every car parked outside in New England, and Hanson’s wooded lots get their share. On damp paint in the sun it bakes on. Sap from parking under pines is the year-round version of the same problem.
Summers at the ponds
Oldham, Maquan, Wampatuck and the Monponsett ponds draw people to the water all summer. That means wet towels on the seats, sand in the footwells and damp carpet that never fully dries in a closed car.
Leaf fall
In a town this wooded, wet autumn leaves land on parked cars and in the cowl below the windshield. Left to sit, they stain paint and hold moisture against it.
What I’d recommend

What fits a car in Hanson

Ceramic coating (Express, Essential, Enhanced). Pollen, sap, leaves and road film all do their damage the same way: by sitting on the clear coat. A coating gives them a slick surface instead, and most of it rinses off with a hose.

Wheel Face Coating (coating add-on). A winter on Route 58 and Route 14 cakes brine and brake dust onto wheel faces. Coated, they rinse clean instead of needing a scrub.

Interior Detail. At the end of pond season, an Interior Detail clears the sand and the damp before they settle into the car for the winter.

Deep Carpet Extraction. When sand and pond water have worked down into the carpet, hot-water extraction pulls out what a vacuum cannot reach.

How booking works in Hanson

Hanson is about 22 miles from Wareham, well inside the 40-mile radius my booking system works to. The assistant confirms your exact address when you book.

I’m mobile: I come to you and the work happens in your driveway. I arrive at one of three times: 9:00 in the morning, 12:30, or 3:00 in the afternoon. A coating takes most of the day, so it gets the morning arrival; a detail can take any time it fits.

Hanson is inland and north of me, and the booking assistant checks your exact address rather than the town as a whole, so the arrival times it offers are the real ones for where you live, whether that is South Hanson, Monponsett or a street near the Pembroke line.

A coating is a full day in one driveway, so it is booked for a morning arrival. If online booking shows no open times for your address, call or text me and I will tell you whether your date works.

Rain on the day
A coating needs a dry day to cure. If rain is forecast I’ll call or text and we pick a new day at no charge; for detailing, light drizzle is usually fine.

Hanson FAQ

Hanson is on my service roster, Monponsett and South Hanson included, and the booking assistant confirms your exact address when you book. I work in your driveway; there is no shop to drop the car at.
Salt air is only one reason to coat. In Hanson the bigger ones are winter brine from the roads, pine pollen, sap and leaves. All of them do their damage by sitting on the paint, and a coating keeps them on a surface that washes clean.
Soften it with the right solvent rather than scraping it. If it has been on long enough to etch the clear coat, the mark has to be polished out, which is what the two-stage correction in the Enhanced coating does.
A coating needs a dry day to cure, so if rain is forecast I get in touch and we pick a new day at no charge.
