Seekonk is really two towns for driving purposes: Lebanon Mills and Perrins Crossing up north near Route 152 and I-95, and Luthers Corners and South Seekonk between I-195 and Route 44. Route 6 in between is the town’s well-known retail strip.

I-195 enters Massachusetts in Seekonk, and many drivers here cross into Rhode Island every day. Both states pre-treat with brine and salt through storms, so a commuter car carries a film of it on the lower panels from November to March.
Route 6 parking lots
The Route 6 strip means a lot of time parked in open lots, in full sun and close to heavy traffic, and the road film that comes with it.
Ten Mile River and the bay watershed
Seekonk drains to the Ten Mile River and Narragansett Bay. Low ground near the river and brooks holds moisture, and cars kept there dry slowly after rain.
Spring pollen
