Millis is a small town with a lot of open land: the Charles River runs through it, Bogastow Brook feeds South End Pond, and there are still working farms. Routes 109 and 115 cross in the centre of town. It is also one of the farthest towns from Wareham on my roster.

What the local conditions do to a car

River, brook and swamp
Between the Charles, Bogastow Brook and the Great Black Swamp on the Medway side, a lot of Millis is low, wet ground. Cars there stay damp longer after rain, which keeps whatever is on the paint working on it.
Farm roads
Millis still has large farms. Dirt and mud from farm traffic end up on the lower panels and in the wheel wells, and dried mud is abrasive when it gets wiped off the wrong way.
Route 109 and Route 115
The two state routes meet in the town centre, and MassDOT brines state roads ahead of storms. The film dries onto rocker panels and wheels and stays there all winter.
Wooded roads and pollen
Route 115 runs through dense woods for much of its length. Oak pollen arrives in spring and pine pollen follows into June, and both bake onto paint in the sun.

What fits a car in Millis

Ceramic coating (Express, Essential, Enhanced). A coating keeps mud, brine and pollen from bonding to the clear coat. They sit on a slick surface and come off with a rinse, so washing does less harm to the paint.
