Bridgewater is where the Taunton River begins, at the meeting of the Town and Matfield rivers, and where I-495 meets Route 24 in the southwest corner. Routes 18, 28 and 104 all meet at the Town Common. Between the highway, the river and the Hockomock Swamp on the west side, a car here sees a bit of everything.

I have coated and detailed cars for 15 years and more than 1,200 vehicles. There is no shop to bring the car to; I come to you.

What the local conditions do to a car

I-495 and Route 24
The I-495 and Route 24 interchange is in town, and Route 104 has ramp access to Route 24. MassDOT pre-treats with brine and salts both highways through every storm, and the film dries onto lower panels and wheels.
River and swamp damp
The Taunton River starts here, Lake Nippenicket sits on the western edge, and a large part of the Hockomock Swamp Wildlife Management Area is in the west of town. Wet ground means heavy dew, and dew is what lets pollen and dirt bond to paint.
Forests and pollen
A state forest, a town forest and several conservation areas mean plenty of trees. Late May into June, pine pollen coats every parked car in New England.
Campus parking
Bridgewater State University is in town. Cars parked all day in open lots take the full summer sun on paint, headlights and dashboards, with no shade between them and it.
What I’d recommend

What fits a car in Bridgewater

Ceramic coating (Express, Essential, Enhanced). Salt, pollen and dew-borne grime sit on top of a coating instead of the clear coat, and a rinse takes most of it off. For a car that parks outside all day, it also takes the sun on the coating rather than the paint.

Ceramic Windshield Coating. Rain and slush bead and blow off at highway speed on Route 24 and I-495.

Headlight Restoration. Cars that park outside all day get yellowed, hazy headlights sooner. Restoration clears them.

Interior Detail. A car that does commuting, campus runs and errands gets lived in. An Interior Detail resets it: vacuum, every surface wiped down, glass cleaned, leather or vinyl conditioned.

How booking works in Bridgewater

Bridgewater is about 21 miles from Wareham, well inside the 40-mile radius my booking system works to. The assistant confirms your exact address when you book.

I’m mobile: I come to you and the work happens in your driveway. I arrive at one of three times: 9:00 in the morning, 12:30, or 3:00 in the afternoon. A coating takes most of the day, so it gets the morning arrival; a detail can take any time it fits.

Bridgewater is a short run up Route 24 or Route 28 for me, and the booking assistant checks your exact address and offers the arrival times that work for it.

A coating takes most of a day and is booked for a morning arrival; a detail fits a morning or midday start.

Rain on the day
A coating needs a dry day to cure. If rain is forecast I’ll call or text and we pick a new day at no charge; for detailing, light drizzle is usually fine.

Bridgewater FAQ

Yes. Bridgewater is on my service roster, and I work in your driveway. The booking assistant confirms your address when you book.
A coating takes the UV and the heat on its surface rather than the clear coat, which slows fading and oxidation on a car that parks outside. Parking in shade still helps.
It helps the paint and the wheels: brine film rinses off a coated surface instead of clinging to it. It does not protect the underside of the car, which still needs regular rinsing in winter.
